ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Valley Conference announced the 2025-26 Scholar-Athlete Team for volleyball, which features five Sycamores on the list.
 
The five Sycamores earning a spot on the list are Emily Weber, Kimora Whetstone, Avery Hales, Ella Scott, and Chloe Gilley. Weber leads the team as she was nominated for the MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
 
Emily Weber – Senior – Setter – Public Health

• 2025 Season: Season: 28 matches, 100 sets, 38 kills, 553 (5.53 per set), 155 digs (1.55 per set)

• Career: 109 matches, 388 sets, 269 kills, 2,780 assists (7.16 per set), 695 digs (1.79 per set), 156 blocks (.40 per set), 85 service aces

 
Kimora Whetstone – Senior – Middle Blocker – Biology

• 2025 Season: 28 matches, 102 sets (didn't miss a set), 155 kills (1.52 per set), .287 hitting percentage, 74 blocks (.73 per set)
• Career: 111 matches, 405 sets, 572 kills (1.41 per set), .264 hitting percentage, 96 digs, 335 blocks (.83 per set), 23 service aces

 
Avery Hales – Junior – Setter – Digital Communication & Media

• 2025 Season: 27 matches, 87 sets, 415 assists (4.75 per set), 182 digs (2.09 per set), 11 kills, 11 service aces
• Career: 66 matches, 197 sets, 1,112 assists (5.64 per set), 382 digs (1.94 per set), 72 kills, 34 service aces

 
Ella Scott – Junior – Middle Blocker – Operations & Supply Chain Management

• 2025 Season: 28 matches, 102 sets (played in every set this season), 163 kills (1.60 per set), 62 blocks (.74 per set), 66 digs (.65 per set)
• Career: 86 matches, 310 sets (played in every set in whole career), 549 kills (1.77 per set), 259 blocks (.84 per set), 168 digs (.54 per set)

 
Chloe Gilley – Sophomore – DS/L – Marketing

• 2025 Season: 19 matches, 72 sets, 252 digs (3.50 per set), 65 assists, 11 service aces
• Career: 45 matches, 153 sets, 469 digs (3.07 per set), 98 assists, 16 service aces

 
Qualifications
Nominees must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, both as an undergraduate and graduate student, where applicable. If a GPA has not been established as a transfer student, the cumulative GPA from the nominees' previous institution must be used.

Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing. Redshirt freshmen are not eligible. 
 
Eligible nominees must compete in 75 percent of the institution's matches played OR must start in at least 50 percent of the institution's matches. Liberos, although not counted in stats as a starter, may be counted as such for nominating purposes.
