TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  - The Indiana State women's golf team will wrap up the fall season next week as they compete in the Charles Braun, Jr., Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday. The tournament will be played at Quail Crossing Golf Course in Boonville, Ind., and is hosted by the University of Evansville.

Indiana State and Evansville are just two of five Missouri Valley Conference schools who will be in the tournament. Also competing from the Valley will be Southern Illinois, Northern Iowa, and Creighton. They will be joined by SIU Edwardsville, Dayton, Butler, Nebraska-Omaha, Valparaiso, Eastern Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Tennessee State.

The 36-hole tournament opens with 18-holes on Monday with the final 18 played on Tuesday. A shot gun start will start both rounds at 11 a.m. (ET). The weather forecast calls for sunny skies with 52 the high on Monday and 50 on Tuesday. It will be a brisk start to the day with overnight lows in the low 30s.

"I am really looking forward to seeing the team compete one more time this fall," Greg Towne, Indiana State women's golf coach, said. "Some of the teams, like Southern Illinois, we have not played against this fall. We have had some good practice sessions recently and this tournament will give us a lot of feedback on what we will have to work on during the winter break."

The Sycamores will be led in the competition by seniors Emily Dixon and Christina Beyerl. They will be joined by junior McCall Christopher, and sophomores Amanda Smith and Gina Della Camera. Two other Sycamores are scheduled to make the trip but which two will not be known until sophomores Erinn Sutton, Andrea Frankiewicz and Margaret Harper complete an 18-hole qualification round.

"I have been very pleased with the progress of our young players this fall," Towne said. "Our veteran leaders have been consistent and show a great desire to improve their skill set."

After next week, the Sycamores will be off until February when they compete in the Ann Rhoads Southern Shootout Feb. 17-18 in Birmingham, Ala.
