ISU's Reece Feducia Is Named MVC Co-Woman's Golfer of the Week

ST. LOUIS - Indiana State junior Reece Feducia was named a co-recipient of the Missouri Valley Conference Woman's Golfer of the Week honor which was announced today by the league office. Feducia is the just the third Sycamore to earn the honor. Former Sycamore Breanne Smith received the honor five times while Kayley Bodine received the honor twice.

Feducia recorded the second top 10 finish of her Indiana State career and her best finish as a Sycamore at the Indiana University Fall Kickoff this past weekend as she completed the 36-hole tournament tied for second with a 147 total.

The junior opened the tournament with a four-over par 76 in Saturday's opening round and came back with a one-under 71 in the second round Sunday. It was the third time in her ISU career that Feducia has posted a round of 71 which is the second best 18-hole round in school history. Feducia also tied the school record set by Smith for low 36 hole round with her 147.

Feducia shared the award with Missouri State's Kelsey Welber. Three men's golfers earned medalist honors in their respective tournaments last week and share this week's Missouri Valley Conference golfer of the week honors including Wichita State's Hunter Sparks and Calvin Pearson, and Missouri State's Daily Young are this week's honorees.

Indiana State will be competing in the Cardinal Classic on Saturday and Sunday at The Players Club Golf Course in Yorktown, Ind. The tournament is hosted by Ball State University.
