SOUTH BEND, IND. ? Indiana State senior Michael Roberts captured the 60 meter hurdles to highlight the Sycamores competition at the Alex Wilson Last Chance Meet held at the University of Notre Dame on Saturday.
“It was a pretty normal last chance meet,” John McNichols, Indiana State cross country and track & field coordinator said. “It is a pretty tough situation to actually improve performances but the win by Roberts was a bright spot for us. Beyond that, the performances were definitely not what we had hoped for. The majority of the team will now begin to concentrate on the outdoor season.”
Roberts ran the second fastest time in the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdles at 8.18 and then came back with a 8.04 to win the finals.
