Terre Haute, Ind. ? The Indiana State Sycamores will travel to Boca Raton, Florida this weekend for games against Florida Atlantic University and Florida Gulf Coast in non-conference women's soccer action. The two Florida teams were scheduled to play each other last Friday but unfavorable weather conditions forced the game to be cancelled.
On Friday at 7:00 p.m., the Sycamores take on the FAU Owls who are a part of the Atlantic Soccer Conference. The Owls have had one regular-season match thus far and it was against No. 20-ranked Florida. Although FAU took the Gators into overtime, they lost four minutes into the first overtime period by a final score of 2-1. A first-half goal had put the Owls in front, a lead FAU held through the first 55 minutes of play. However, the Gators converted a second-half penalty kick to even the game at one apiece.
