Shoemaker, Manus Named To College Baseball Foundation All-Star Lineup

LUBBOCK, TX ? Indiana State leftfielder Brady Shoemaker and pitcher Michael Manus have been named to the “National All-Star Lineup” by the College Baseball Foundation and Diamond Sports.

Shoemaker was one of two players featured for their performance during the final week of the regular season. Shoemaker had two grand slams and 10 RBI in the final regular season game last Saturday against Illinois State. Scott Swinson of Maryland was also featured for throwing a no-hitter for the Terrapins.

Manus was recognized after throwing three-hit shutout against Illinois State in the first game of the series last Friday. Manus became just the eighth player in the 112 year history of baseball at Indiana State to strike out 14 or more batters in a game. His complete game effort was just the second complete game of the season for the Sycamores.

As the regular season comes to a close, the College Baseball Foundation is gearing up for the Conference Tournaments and the excitement of post season play. The Foundation, in conjunction with the Brooks Wallace National Player of the Year Award, follows players from the first pitch of the season to the last out in Omaha.

The Foundation will continue to recognize outstanding performances on the diamond throughout the post-season and encourage sports information directors, coaches, media, and fans of the game to submit nominations for the special post season “National All-Star Lineups”.
