Omaha, Neb. ? At the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament banquet held Thursday night on November 6, four Indiana State Sycamore soccer players received all-conference honors as voted upon by league coaches.  Among those receiving recognition were seniors Alyssa Ramsey and Amanda Gogel along with freshmen Seyma Erenli and Alison Gasparovich.

Ramsey was selected to the MVC All-Conference Second Team for the second straight year.  The senior defender from Brecksville, Ohio was also an honorable mention selection in 2005 and was part of the MVC All-Freshman team that same year.  Ramsey has started in every game she has played in this year as the team's top defender.

Gogel was tabbed MVC Honorable Mention, her first conference award of her four-year career.  She is originally from Ferdinand, Ind.  This season Gogel has played in all but one game and is currently tied for the most number of points on the team.  She has scored goals against Creighton and Butler and has recorded three assists, one of which came on the game-winning goal to beat Drake last night in the MVC quarterfinal match.

Erenli, one of two players from Australia on the Sycamore squad, was named to the MVC All-Freshman Team.  Erenli missed part of the season because she participated in the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Barcelona.  The freshman forward has been a major part of the Sycamore offense this season.

Gasparovich, who scored the game-winning goal last night against Drake to advance her team to the MVC semifinals, was selected as an honorable mention selection and was also named to the MVC All-Freshman Team.  Gasparovich has started in all but one match this season.  The freshman midfielder from Overland Park, Kan., has taken the most number of shots on the team with 31 and ranks third in number of points.  Gasparovich has two goals and one assist this season.
