BIRMINGHAM, ALA. ? The Indiana State women's golf team is set to conclude their fall season Monday and Tuesday as they participate in the “Bash at the Beach” hosted by the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

This is the third year that the UAB women's golf team has hosted the annual UAB Fall Beach Blast which will be played at The Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club in Gulf Shores, Ala. The tournament will feature one round each day during the two-day event on the par 72, 5,995-yard course.

There will be 14 teams competing for the team title including Indiana State and the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Also competing will be Belmont, Cincinnati, Columbia, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, Louisiana-Monroe, Marshall, Samford, Southern Mississippi, University of Texas-San Antonio, Texas-Pan American and West Florida.

The Sycamores finished ninth last year with a two-day total of 638. East Carolina won the team title with a score of 489.

Breanne Smith led the Indiana State effort, finishing in ninth with a two-day total of 152. Abby Butler shot a 157 to tie for 26th while Kayley Bodine tied for 31st with a total of 161. Kelsea Ice tied for 59th with a total of 169.

Smith currently leads the Sycamores with three top 10 finishes and one top five finish, averaging 75.4 per round. Bodine has one top 10 finish and is averaging 77.5 per round while Ice and Mackenzie Mack are averaging 84.0 per round. Butler rounds out the tournament team for Indiana State, averaging 84.4 per round.
