Indiana State senior Meaghan Gaffney was awarded this week's Offensive Player of the Week award as announced by the Missouri Valley Conference.
Gaffney scored the game-winning goal in the Sycamore's 3-1 victory against Cleveland State last Friday. She has been playing in the back for ISU, but was moved up to her regular position due to the return of several injured players. She also recorded an assist in that game.
Gaffney has started every game for the Sycamores this season. She has recorded five shots, 1 goal, and two assists on the year.
Indiana State will return to action when they travel to Valparaiso University this Friday to take on the Crusaders at 5:00 p.m.
