Women's Golf To Hold Annual Outing On September 14

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. ? Indiana State head women's golf coach Mike Whitson announced today (Aug. 29) that the annual Sycamore Women's Golf Outing will be held on Friday, September 14 at the Idle Creek Golf Club in Terre Haute.

The 2nd Annual Indiana State Women's Golf Outing, Presented by Terre Haute Savings Bank begins with registration and lunch at 11:15 a.m. The shotgun start commences at 12:30 p.m., with an awards ceremony scheduled after play is completed.

The entry fee for an entire team is $360, while an individual may enter for $90. Individuals or businesses may also sponsor a hole for $120.

The fee includes green and cart fees as well as lunch and an ISU polo shirt. The format for the outing is a four-person scramble.

All proceeds from the Indiana State Women's Golf Outing will help benefit the Sycamores in their pursuit of a Missouri Valley Conference Championship this upcoming season.

"Last year we had a tremendous turnout at the golf outing for our first season," Whitson said. "With the help of the local community as well as all Sycamore fans, we hope that this year's event will be even better. Not only are the players going to enjoy a tremendous day of golf, but we hope they take pride in our Sycamore women's golf program and gain satisfaction in knowing that they are helping our program move towards the goal of winning a championship."

The Indiana State women's golf team begins their second season of competition on September 10-11 at The Preview At The Brickyard in Speedway, Ind.
