Dawson Named Northwoods All-Star

MANKATO, MN. ? Indiana State University junior Chris Dawson spent the summer as the closer for the Mankato MoonDogs of the Northwoods League and was named to the 2007 Northwoods League Post-Season All-Star team.

 

Dawson broke the MoonDogs single season record for saves with 18 and the career saves mark, also with 18. He also broke the Northwoods League career saves record with 32 saves. Dawson had 14 saves as a member of the St. Cloud River Bats while also making the all-star team in 2006.

 

Dawson finished the summer season with a 1-1 record, appearing in 25 games with 18 saves in 26.2 innings pitched and an ERA of 2.03. As a sophomore at Indiana State last season, Dawson had a 2-2 record, starting eight of the 17 games he appeared in and pitching 55.1 innings with an ERA of 5.86.

 

Dawson will be back at Indiana State to play for the Sycamores this spring.
