TERRE HAUTE, Ind. ? The Indiana State University men's and women's cross country teams have earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors for 2006.
The Indiana State women's cross country team had a GPA of 3.410 which ranked them 45th in the nation while the men had a GPA of 3.390 which ranked them 12th in the nation.
An amazing total of 145 teams received Division 1 Women's All-Academic Cross Country Team honors while a total of 87 teams received Men's All-Academic Cross Country Team honors for the 2006 season. To be honored as an All-Academic Team, teams were required to compete in an NCAA regional meet and have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Brigham Young had the highest GPA of the women's teams at 3.730 while Wright State University had the highest GPA of the men's teams at 3.707.
