FLORENCE, Ind. – Indiana State continued its climb in the field over the final day of the NKU Fall Invitational on Tuesday as the Sycamores closed out the last 22 holes of the weekend at the Belterra Golf Club.
 
The Sycamores finished fourth overall in the field with a three-round score of +58 to finish second among the Missouri Valley schools in the field, while topping Valparaiso (+80) and Evansville (+151).
 
Sophia Florek was the top Indiana State finisher over the weekend finishing 13th overall in the field. The senior wrapped up the final day with a combined three-round score of +14 after turning in scores of 78-69-80 on the par 71 course. Florek highlighted her weekend turning in Indiana State's lone round under par and tied for the second-lowest round overall on the tournament after going 2-under in the second round.
 
Alana Gilbert (+15) finished 16th overall in the field with a three-round score of 228 after going 76-74-78 over the three rounds. Gilbert went 7-over over her final 18 holes and highlighted her final round with seven consecutive pars on the back nine on the course.
 
Louise Standtke (+16) was one stroke back of her teammate finishing tied for 18th overall in the field with a three-round score of 229. The junior birdied both the first and fifth holes on the day to finish with a final-round 77 (+6) in the field.
 
Rosalie DiNunzio (+20) finished tied for 30th overall in the field after her final-round 76 (+5) to close out the tournament. She birdied the 17th hole to highlight a back-nine where she went 1-under on the course.
 
Keira Brazeau (+21) tied for 35th in the field after turning in Indiana State's lowest round over the final 18 holes of the tournament. She birdied the second, third, and fourth holes on the front nine, while adding two more birdies on the 16th and 18th on her way to posting a final-round 74 (+3).
 
Gabby Cone (+25) rounded out the Sycamores in the field after taking competing over the weekend as an individual. She birdied the 14th and 15th holes to highlight her final-round 78 (+7).
 
Overall, Indiana State turned in the tournament's lowest scores on Par 3's on the course (+12), were fourth overall in birdies (28), and third in total pars (152).
 
Sophia Florek led the Sycamores and was third overall in the field shooting even-par over the course's Par 3's, while Gabby Cone and Alana Gilbert were both 1-under par on the Par 5's over the three rounds. Keira Brazeau and Louise Standtke both recorded a team-best seven birdies over the 54 holes played. Gilbert's steady play over the weekend resulted in tying for the third-most pars with 38 on the week.
