Sycamore Family,
There is incredible momentum surrounding Indiana State University Athletics, and as we head into an exciting spring weekend and look ahead to the future of our programs, I wanted to personally thank each of you for the support, energy, and belief you continue to pour into our student-athletes and department.
This weekend is shaping up to be one of the most exciting of the year.
Our baseball program has a tremendous opportunity in front of it as the Sycamores compete for the Missouri Valley Conference Regular Season Championship. With games scheduled Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and beautiful weather in the forecast, we need everyone to
PACK THE BOB and create an electric atmosphere for our student-athletes as they chase a championship. Tickets are just $5 each day, and kids get in FREE on Saturday, making it a perfect opportunity for fans across the Wabash Valley to come out and support Sycamore Baseball.
At the same time, our track & field program will host the
MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Gibson Track & Field Complex on Saturday and Sunday. Few programs in the country have the tradition and excellence of Sycamore Track & Field, and this weekend our men's and women's teams will be pursuing the program's 52nd and 53rd conference championships. We are proud to showcase one of the premier track & field programs in the nation right here in Terre Haute.
As we transition toward summer and prepare for the 2026-27 athletics season, enthusiasm continues to build around football and both basketball programs.
Season tickets are now available for football and men's and women's basketball, and the interest surrounding all three programs is tremendous following a very active and successful portal season. Football recently wrapped up spring practice and continues preparations for an exciting fall campaign featuring six home games at Memorial Stadium.
The landscape of college basketball continues to evolve rapidly, and both of our basketball staffs have worked tirelessly this offseason. Our men's basketball program has done an outstanding job assembling a roster filled with athleticism, size, versatility, and competitiveness for the upcoming season. On the women's side, our staff continues to add highly skilled and talented student-athletes who will make an immediate impact on the court and in our community.
We are also excited about the schedules taking shape for both programs and look forward to announcing those once the non-conference portions are finalized. Men's basketball has finalized opportunities to compete against programs from both the Big 12 and Big Ten, which will provide outstanding experiences for our student-athletes and fans alike.
So please renew or sign up for
season tickets today!
Recently, we also celebrated exciting progress with the approval of the Woodruff Sycamore Loft project inside Hulman Center. This transformational gift by Troy & Melissa Woodruff will introduce a new premium hospitality space while also funding major renovations to both the men's and women's basketball locker rooms. These enhancements will elevate the fan and student-athlete experience while modernizing one of the university's premier athletic venues.
If you are interested in securing one of the Woodruff Sycamore Loft boxes, which includes 12 tickets per game, please contact
Tyson Baldwin at Tyson.Baldwin@indstate.edu for additional information.
Beyond competition, our student-athletes continue to excel where it matters most. With the spring semester now complete, I am proud to share that our student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.41 for the semester. Their commitment to excellence in the classroom continues to set a standard that reflects the values of Indiana State University and Sycamore Athletics.
As we welcome fans and visitors to Terre Haute this weekend, we are reminded how fortunate we are to have such passionate support throughout the Wabash Valley and beyond. None of this momentum is possible without you, our loyal donors, fans, alumni, and supporters.
Thank you for
continuing to invest in our student-athletes, our programs, and the future of Sycamore Athletics. We are blessed to have a championship-caliber athletics department right here in Terre Haute, and the future has never been brighter.
Go Sycamores!
