TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's basketball's Kennedy Claybrooks was named this week's Hannig Construction Indiana State Student-Athlete of the Week as announced by the athletic department on Monday afternoon.
 
Kennedy Claybrooks paced Indiana State's 2-0 week on the road, leading the Sycamores in rebounds, assists and steals while also averaging double-digit scoring in the Sycamores' wins over Valparaiso and Evansville. The Memphis native averaged 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 45 percent from the floor, 67 percent from 3-point range and 83 percent from the charity stripe.
 
Claybrooks flirted with a triple-double in the Sycamores' 77-63 win over Valparaiso with 16 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals, shooting an efficient 7-for-11 from the field and 2-for-2 from 3-point range.
 
She shook off a slow first half against Evansville to finish with nine points, four assists and two rebounds, with most of that damage coming in the second half to preserve the Sycamores' win. Claybrooks scored seven of her nine against the Purple Aces in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead free throws over the final minute.
 
The Hannig Construction Indiana State Student-Athlete of the Week will be announced every week throughout the 2025-26 athletic season.
