DeKALB, Ill. – Indiana State volleyball travels to the NIU tournament, hosted by Northern Illinois University, on Sept. 5-6.
 
The Sycamores play on Friday, September 5 against SIUE at 3:30pm ET, followed by NIU at 7 p.m. ET. On Saturday, Indiana State gets the 3:30 p.m. ET slot against Merrimack.

• Jersey No. 3 Ava Gredengoed recorded 58 kills (4.14 per set) on a .245 hitting percentage. No. 2 Ella Strausberger finished with over half the assists (8.6 per set) with 103.
• The team hit .185 on the weekend with 23 blocks (1.6 per set).

 
About SIUE

• SIUE also played in the Bellarmine Classic, finishing 0-3.
• Four players finished with 20+ kills, the most being No. 11 Sophie Robinson with 36 (3.0 per set). No. 2 Vienna Elliott totaled 15 blocks through 12 sets (4 solo).
• The team hit .188 on the weekend.

 
About Merrimack

• The Warriors split their opening weekend doubleheader, with their loss coming at Michigan State.
• In six sets, No. 18 Morgan Thurlow notched 15 kills (2.5 per set) and No. 10 Mckenna Shotwell with 13 (2.17 per set). Two setters, No. 5 Sophia DeBonis and No. 13 Lilly Konrad, combined for 50-of-53 assists.
• The team hit .196 on the weekend.
