ST. LOUIS – Indiana State volleyball freshman setter
Hadley Hardersen earned Freshman of the Week honors, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
In her debut weekend as a true freshman on the Sycamores' roster, Hardersen started each match totaling 20 kills (2.0 per set), 41 assists (4.1 per set), and 26 digs (2.6 per set). The Urbandale, Iowa native finished the weekend hitting .314, also tallying three blocks and three service aces.
Hardersen in her opening weekend recorded a triple-double in the win against SIUE, recording 14 kills on an incredible .462 hitting percentage with 24 assists and 15 digs. It was the first triple-double in the program since Alisha Polite in September 2007.
She earned the first weekly award for the program since November 13, 2023 when teammate
Kira Holland won the weekly Freshman of the Week award.

Hardersen and the Sycamores travel to DeKalb, Ill. this Sept. 5-6 for the NIU Invitational, hosted by Northern Illinois. Indiana State will open on Friday facing SIUE for the second-straight weekend, followed by NIU later in the day. On Saturday, Indiana State will play a single match against Merrimack.
