Sycamores Battle to Scoreless Draw with Lindenwood

TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Indiana State battled to a 0-0 draw against Lindenwood on Sunday afternoon at Memorial Stadium, as goalkeeper Delaney Timmons anchored the Sycamores with four saves and a composed effort in net.

Both defenses set the tone in the opening 45 minutes, keeping the match level despite consistent chances on both ends. Lindenwood fired off 11 first-half shots, including three from Anna Johnson, but Timmons stood tall with two saves.

Indiana State pressed forward after halftime, generating 11 second-half shots and holding an overall 20-15 advantage in attempts. Lehnert led the Sycamore attack with six shots, matching her season high, while Brooklyn Woods and Isabella Berta also tested Ritter in the closing minutes. Despite the pressure, Ritter closed the afternoon with eight saves to keep the Sycamores off the board.

The Sycamores also controlled set pieces, earning eight corner kicks compared to four for Lindenwood, but the Lions' back line stayed organized and cleared away multiple dangerous chances inside the box. ISU's defense responded in kind, blocking several late Lindenwood efforts and keeping Timmons clean for her third shutout of the season.
