TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Athletics announced a record-breaking year in revenue generation, while continuing their success both on the competition surface and inside the classroom as the Sycamores announce their annual report on Monday morning highlighting the 2024-25 athletic seasons.

He continued, "Your continued belief in our mission inspires us every day. I'm confident this is only the beginning. Together, we are creating a brighter future for Indiana State—through the success of our student-athletes and the strength of the Sycamore family."
The Sycamores reached new heights in revenue generation for the 2024-25 year due to the overwhelming support of fans, donors, and alumni on their way to raising over $4.3 million in all revenue generation areas. The mark is 29% higher than 2023-24 and is the highest total in Indiana State Athletics history.
Highlighting this success includes breaking $1 million in sponsorship revenue for the first time in department history. Season ticket revenue and philanthropic donations also reached new heights over the year.
Indiana State and the Sycamore Athletic Fund announced the establishment of the Investor Society, a new philanthropic leadership society dedicated to empowering Indiana State University student-athletes to excel in competition, in the classroom, and in life. To date, 62 members have been induced into the Investor Society since the program's inception in the spring of 2025.
Indiana State also saw marked improvement in the Crossroad of Champions NIL fund with involvement increasing by 147% over the past year.
Inside the classroom, a record 693 Indiana State student-athletes were recognized on the Athletic Director Honor Roll over the 2024-25 year. Their successes resulted in the Sycamore student-athletes posting a 3.39 cumulative department grade-point average (GPA), marking the fourth consecutive year the Indiana State Athletic Department has posted a 3.3+ GPA.
The revenue generation success and classroom accolades matched Indiana State's successes on the field as the Sycamores posted four Missouri Valley Conference championship titles, the second-most among MVC institutions in 2024-25. The Sycamores claimed their first-ever Valley title in women's swimming & diving, while men's track & field (outdoor) also claimed titles. The women's track & field team swept the MVC Indoor and Outdoor Championship meets to post the final two championships.
Four Indiana State Sycamores received All-American nods for their prowess in competition. Football's Elijah Owens garnering three Freshman All-American selections, while Rachel Mehringer (Women's Track), Will Staggs (Men's Field), and Casey Hood Jr. (Men's Track) went on to compete with the NCAA's best at the national indoor and outdoor championships.
Overall, nine Sycamores recorded 15 individual awards from the Missouri Valley Conference, while head coaches Angie Martin (Track & Field) and Josh Christensen (Swimming & Diving) were honored as their respective conference's Coach of the Year.
