OLDSMAR, Fla. – Indiana State women's golf kicks off their spring schedule on March 10-11 at the Ardea Country Club (South Course) in the Butler University Benbow Spring Invitational.
 
The team plays in this tournament on March 10-11 before heading a bit further north for Purdue Fort Wayne's Hammock Beach Invitational being played on March 13-14.
 
Ardea CC is a par 72 course with a distance of 6,119 yards. This two-day event features 18 holes on each day with a 9:15 a.m. ET shotgun start. There are 14 teams in the field, including Belmont, UIC, and Valparaiso.
 
Head coach Greg Towne is taking his full roster to Florida, playing five in the starting lineup and three as individuals. Those lining up in the team of five are Briana LeMaire, Yang Tai, Rosie DiNunzio, Sophia Florek, and Alana Gilbert.
 
The Sycamores are coming off a fall in which the team showed growth as the season progressed. There were two top five team finishes, highlighted by both a team win and an individual win in the fall's closing tournament in Evansville.
 
Indiana State won the Braun Intercollegiate for the second-straight year with a two-day score of 611 (301, 310). Yang Tai was the top individual in the tournament, securing her first collegiate first-place finish. She shot a 147 (+3, 74-73) to beat more than 80 golfers.
 
Briana LeMaire and Alana Gilbert tied in fifth place each finishing nine-over. Sophia Florek placed tied for 14th at 14-over, and Rosalie DiNunzio rounded out the five starters tied for 53rd place at 24-over.
