Mid-Distance/Distance
While Indiana State had multiple distance athletes compete at the GVSU Big Meet Friday afternoon and evening, the Sycamores still had a strong contingent take part in the home opener.

Xavier Wills (1:53.11) clocked meet-record times to sweep the top spots on both sides in the 800m, with Wills also breaking a facility record in the process.
The 800 sweep wasn't the only success the Sycamores had when it came to distance events, as
Gnister Grant and
Ryan Handy broke meet records in the women's mile and men's 3000m, respectively. Grant ran a mile time of 5:06.52 and was joined in the top three by
Alli Steffey (5:12.00), while Handy (8:43.17),
