TERRE HAUTE, Ind.– Indiana State Softball has secured a key addition to its 2025 freshman class with the commitment of standout right-handed pitcher Caylee Gaytan.

High School: Katy High School
Travel Team: Impact Gold Jackson
A highly regarded prospect, Gaytan earned the No. 16 spot in the Extra Inning Southwest Regional Ranking in September 2024 and was ranked No. 46 nationally in the 2025 class by Extra Inning Softball. Over the summer, she was named TFL Pitcher of the Tournament and earned a place on the Gold Cup All-Tournament Team.
Gaytan has been a dominant force for her high school team, helping lead them to an impressive 39-3-1 record. The team finished 6th overall in Texas and 2nd in the 6A division, solidifying their status as one of the top programs in the state.
