CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Five Indiana State women's golfers from the 2023-24 season have been named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team, announced on Monday.
Eliza Baker,
Iyoun Chew,
Sophia Florek,
Molly Lee, and
Yang Tai are the five Sycamores earning the recognition. Chew and Lee earned a spot on the team for the second-straight season while Baker, Florek, and Tai are first-time recipients.
Baker (81.1 season average) capped her sophomore season at the ISU Spring Invite carding two 76s for her best finish of the season in ninth place. Chew (79.0) helped the Sycamores to their lone victory at the Evansville Invitational with a two-round score of 153, tying for seventh place. Florek (80.7) saw two top-10 finishes in her debut and scored her lowest round in her last of the season at the ISU Spring Invite with a 74.
Lee (79.2) led the Sycamores in the Evansville victory, finishing in second as one of her two top-five finishes on the season. Tai (80.5) shot her low round of the year of 72 en route to her top finish of the season tying in sixth place at the ISU Spring Invite.
Chew and Lee are two graduates from the class of 2024. Baker (incoming junior), Florek (sophomore), and Tai (junior) are all set to return.
