WATERLOO, Ill. – Indiana State golf stands eighth of 12 teams at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships at the Annbriar Golf Club. Briana LeMaire and Kristen Hobbs led the way for ISU, both sitting inside the top 15.

The Sycamores finish the day in tight battle. ISU, Missouri State, Murray State, and Southern Illinois are all within four strokes of each other. 

Round One
After round one, Indiana State was tied for sixth with a team score of 307. LeMaire led the Sycamores with a 74. Starting on the 16th hole, LeMaire parred the first four holes then birdied the next three of four. LeMaire finished with one-under on the front nine. She was followed by Chelsea Morrow who finished with a 75. Morrow powered through the first 18 with five-straight pars from holes 1-5 and another five-straight from 10-14.
 
Hobbs was the next lowest Sycamore with a 78 and was even through her first 10 holes. Yang Tai finished round one with an 80, and Molly Lee with 83.
 
Round Two
The Sycamores finished four strokes off its first-round total with 311, as Hobbs recorded the lowest round-two score for ISU with a 73. The senior knocked off five strokes from her first round, using a front nine one-under to finish one over par in the second round of the day – it landed her tied for 15th place through day one with a 151. LeMaire is the top finisher for the day for Indiana State, recording the second-best round two score for the Sycamores with a 76. She is tied for 13th overall.
 
Morrow scored an 83 in the second round to finish tied for 37th after the first 36 with a score of 158. Tai shot stroke one better in round two with a 79, and Lee finished the day with a 173.
