ST. LOUIS – Indiana State track and field competed in the 10,000m for the first time this season Friday, with four Sycamores partaking in the long-distance event at the WashU Distance Carnival.
Three of the Sycamores' four entries at Bushyhead Track were on the men's side, as
Cael Light,
Isaac Bryant and
Ian Gadberry all competed for the Blue and White.
Hadley Gradolf represented Indiana State on the women's side.
Light led the way Friday for the Trees with a career-best time of 30:56.48, while Gadberry also set a personal-best time at 32:06.82. Gadberry's time was an improvement by more than 15 seconds from his previous PR, while Light shed five seconds off his previous top time in the event.
Bryant closed out the Sycamore men's contingent with a time of 33:05.09. Gradolf completed 16 of the 25 laps in the event at a time of 25:39.76 before dropping out of the race.

The WashU Distance Carnival is one of two meets the Sycamores are partaking in this weekend. Indiana State is also competing at the EIU Big Blue Classic, with competition from Charleston, Illinois concluding on Saturday.
