CARBONDALE, Ill. - Indiana State men's basketball faces the Southern Illinois Salukis on Saturday from Carbondale, Ill. The Sycamores look to bounce back after falling to Illinois State on Tuesday for only the fourth loss of the season.

Despite winning the matchup earlier this season, Indiana State trails in the overall series 91-53. ISU defeated SIU when the Salukis visited Terre Haute, 77-48, the lowest scoring mark by an ISU opponent this season. When playing in Carbondale, the Salukis hold the series lead 53-12.

Southern Illinois basketball couldn't slow down Belmont Wednesday night as the Bruins took down the Salukis 82-68 inside the Curb Event Center in Nashville. Ja'Kobi Gillespie led all scorers with 29 points on 12-for-16 shooting as he led the charge for a Belmont squad that finished the game shooting 50 percent (29-for-58). Trent Brown added 15 for SIU while Troy D'Amico had 12 points, including a trio of 3-pointers to go with seven boards.
