TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State men's basketball hosts SIU Edwardsville in a midweek matchup on Tuesday evening, with game time set for 7 p.m. inside Hulman Center. The game will stream on ESPN+ and 105.5 The Legend.

Indiana State picked up its first win of the 2024-25 season last Thursday against Division III's Eureka College, 93-48. It was head coach Matthew Graves' first win as the coach of the Sycamores, but his 66th overall. Samage Teel led with a game-high 20 points for back-to-back 20-point games. Jaden Daughtry (15), Markus Harding (10), and Derek Vorst (10) all scored in double digits.

Teel was named Missouri Valley's Newcomer of the Week on Monday, announced by the conference office.

SIUE has battled Indiana and Illinois within the last week in preparation for Tuesday night's showdown. On November 6, the Cougars traveled to Bloomington and fell 80-61 in a tight battle. SIUE kept it close in the first half with it score being tied within five minutes of the first half's end. The contest against Illinois wasn't as close as the Fighting Illini defeated the Cougars 90-58. 

The Sycamores last Thursday made only five three-pointers, which is the first time since the 2022-23 season (February 26, 2023) the team made five or fewer. Indiana State made up for the 20% shooting from deep by knocking down 70.2% of its shots inside the arc (33-for-47) en route to a 52.8% shooting night as a team.

Indiana State grabbed 56 rebounds against Eureka, which is the most since the 1978-19 season, according to records on-hand. The previous high was set at 55 on January 19, 2017 against Ohio.

Following Tuesday's game, Indiana State travels to take on in-state foe Ball State on Saturday, November 16. The Cardinals will be ready for the matchup as the last meeting took place just one season ago in Gainbridge Fieldhouse, when Indiana State downed Ball State in the Indy Classic.

The doors will open atr 6 p.m. with the game set to tip off at 7 p.m. At halftime there will be a special performance by the Indiana State Spirit Squad and Baseball team.
