D1Softball - Indiana State senior Isabella Henning was the No. 15-ranked first baseman in the D1Softball 2024 preseason power rankings released on Wednesday.

A four-year letterwinner, Henning has also been named Second Team All-MVC, Third Team All-Region, and First Team All-MVC in each of the last two seasons. Last season, Henning also earned First Team MVC Scholar-Athlete Team honors and was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

The left-handed Sycamore was the only Missouri Valley Conference first baseman ranked and one of three non-Power 5 recipients on the list. Henning hit a team-high .378 with 65 hits including 12 doubles, 10 homeruns, 37 RBIs, and 42 runs scored. Henning added a multi-homer game last season against Valparaiso and is currently ranked tied for third at ISU with 25 career home runs and ranks fifth all-time with 101 career RBIs. 

Henning started all 57 games in 2023, registering a .997 fielding percentage while leading the team with 364 putouts and six double plays. Highlighting her defensive season included an 18-putout game against Kennesaw State. 

Indiana State Softball continues spring practices as the Sycamores prepare to travel to Houston, Texas for their opening weekend February 9-11.
