TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State sprinter
Noah Malone has accepted an opportunity to train at the United States Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, ahead of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
Malone has also elected to forgo his remaining eligibility with the Sycamores and will turn professional.
A decorated sprinter on both the collegiate and international stage, Malone concludes his time with Indiana State as a six-time all-conference athlete, including an MVC title as part of the Sycamores' 4x100m relay team in 2022. He was a part of four straight MVC Championships for the Sycamores, who swept the conference indoor and outdoor titles in both 2022 and 2023. Malone ranks in the top 10 in program history in the indoor 60m, outdoor 100m, indoor 200m and outdoor 200m, and was the anchor leg on Indiana State's five fastest 4x100m relay teams in program history.
Malone also had strong performances on the national stage for Indiana State, competing in each of the last three NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East First Rounds for the Sycamores. He was a part of two top-16 finishes in the 4x100m relay for Indiana State (2021, 2023) and also competed in the 200m in 2022, finishing 42nd.
On the world stage, Malone has been a force for Team USA, most recently placing first in the Para 100m at the Prefontaine Classic. He won three medals (one gold, two silver) at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo and also took home gold in the 100m T12 at the 2023 Para Athletics World Championships in Paris. Malone also won the 100m at the 2022 Dubai Para Grand Prix and competed for Team USA in the 100m Race to Zero at the 2022 Diamond League Bislett Games. He owns the top times in the world in the 100m and 200m in the T12 classification.
