Sycamores Shoot Lights Out to Down Missouri State, 76-72

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Indiana State basketball struck lightning from behind the arc -- hitting 14 3-pointers -- during a 76-72 victory over Missouri State Tuesday night at the Hulman Center. Three Sycamores scored in double-digits led by Cameron Henry's 16 points while Zach Hobbs added 15 and forward Nick Hittle put up a career-high 14 points in 15 minutes of action.

Indiana State, which snapped a four-game losing streak on the season and to the Bears, led by as many as 17 points in the game before the Bears (15-7, 6-3 MVC) made their comeback to close to within two points at 74-72 with under a minute remaining.

The Sycamores (9-10, 2-5 MVC) would pick up a key block from Kailex Stephens on Isiaih Mosley as the guard drove to the basket with five seconds remaining.

After a pair of free throws from Stephens at the 9:08 mark, Missouri State began its rally, scoring 10-straight points to cut the lead to seven points.

It was a back-and-forth battle for the final six minutes as ISU would continue to exploit matchups and get to the free-throw line. As a team, ISU shot 12-for-16 from the charity stripe with all 16 attempts coming in the second half.
