TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's soccer will travel to Columbia, Mo. for a matchup with Missouri on Thursday, August 26 at 7 p.m. ET at Audrey J. Walton Soccer Stadium.
The Sycamores fell to Northern Illinois 2-1 in double overtime Sunday night at the NIU Soccer and Track & Field Complex. Freshman
Mackenzie Kent scored her first career goal for Indiana State which tied the match in the 90
th minute to send it into overtime. NIU would win it with a header in the 104
th minute.
Missouri is led by Stefanie Golan who takes over for the Tigers after nine years as the head coach at Minnesota. The Tigers return goalie Isabella Alessio who made 45 saves in 12 starts last season. They also get back Julissa Cisneros who recorded 11 points with four goals and three assists in 14 matches.
The Tigers enter Thursday's match with a 0-2 record which includes losses to Illinois and Nebraska. Cisneros tallied six saves over those two matches with the Tigers attempting 15 shots on the offensive side.
Indiana State will return home to Memorial Stadium on Sunday, August 29 at 1 p.m. ET to host UT Martin for their home opener.
