TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State softball team is set to hit the road to Des Moines, Iowa for a three-game series with Drake at Buel Field. The Sycamores will open play on Saturday, Apr. 10 with a doubleheader slated to begin at 1 p.m. ET with game two set to start at approximately 3:30 p.m. The series finale will be played on Sunday, Apr. 11 with a start time of noon.

Buel Field is closed to the public and only fans on student-athletes pass list will be admitted into the stadium.
 
Series History
Drake leads the all-time series 53-29 over Indiana State. The two squads last met on Mar. 31, 2019 resulting in an 8-0 Drake victory.
 
Three Things to Know

1. Holding Down the Circle
   Sophomore Lexi Benko was dominant for the Sycamores as they swept Valparaiso last weekend. The right-hander threw eight innings, posting a perfect earned run average by only giving up a trio of hits and recording a career-high seven strikeouts. She earned her first career complete game shutout, pacing ISU to the 10-0 victory.
2. Blazing Bats
   Isabella Henning and TeAnn Bringle led the Sycamore offense in series sweep of Valpo with the duo each posting a .500 batting average. Henning recorded a double and two home runs, driving in four runs while posting a 1.200 slugging percentage. Bringle recorded a season-high two hits in a game, hitting her first home run of the year while also driving in three runs and posting a .874 slugging percentage.
3. Peterson in the Standings
   Senior outfielder Bella Peterson is ranked in the top ten in the conference in multiple categories. Peterson is ninth in batting average (.358), sixth in slugging percentage (.611), seventh in runs scored (19), second in hits (34) and ninth in home runs (4).
