TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State soccer team set a new program record for Missouri Valley Conference wins Saturday afternoon at ISU Memorial Stadium, scoring goals in each half to down Northern Iowa, 2-0 on Senior Day.
The Sycamores (5-3-0, 5-2-0 MVC) picked up a program-record fifth win of the Valley campaign and earned three important points over the Panthers (3-4-2, 3-4-0 MVC), who came into the match directly behind ISU in the league standings. Indiana State is now alone in second place at 15 points with just one regular season match to play.

Audrey Stephens came up big for Indiana State, scoring the match's first goal in the 14
th minute thanks to assists from senior
Danielle Varner and sophomore
Anna Holcombe.
- With momentum hanging in the balance, a gorgeous cross from junior
Sidney Ewing that nearly found the back of the net was knocked in by freshman
Carlie Jensen in the match's 60
th minute. It marked the first goal of Jensen's ISU career.
