TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State women's golf team will compete in the Missouri Valley Conference Championship on Monday and Tuesday, April 19-20 hosted by Southern Illinois. In pre-tournament voting by the league head coaches, the Sycamores were picked to finish eighth this season.
The event will be played at Bogey Hills Country Club, a par-71, 5,987-yard course in St. Charles, Mo. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday. Both days are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET. Teams will play a shotgun start on Monday and will have staggered tee times on Tuesday. The MVC's 54-hole tournament champion will advance to the NCAA Regionals. Live scoring will be provided by GolfStat.
"This will be the first time that we've had upperclassmen compete in the MVC Championship due to COVID-19 cancelling our previous event, so it will be a learning experience for everyone," head coach
Greg Towne said. "We have struggled to get things going this spring but in the last two weeks with weather cooperating, we have gotten some really good work in."
Towne added: "We will have to overcome a few challenges with what is normally a three-day event being squeezed into two days and us playing 36 holes on Monday. It will take a great deal of focus and stamina to play so many holes in a short amount of time, so we will need to be locked in from the start."
Competing as the scoring five for the Sycamores during the Championship event will be
Lauren Green,
Madison Branum,
Kristen Hobbs,
Iyoun Chew and
Lizzie Bickar.
Green is coming off the ISU Invitational where she finished tied for 13

Bogey Hills is well-known for their awe-inspiring golf course which has been the preferred place to putt for PG winners, social executives. Bogey has beautiful waterfalls and spectacular views, and abundance of aromatic flowers and majestic trees everywhere will certainly give you a moment's pause. Zoysia fairways spread out before Bentgrass greens that feature no grain and low cutting height, therefore, putting is true.
