Softball Heads to Peoria for Three-Game Series with Bradley

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State softball team is set to travel to Peoria, Ill. for a three-game series with Bradley at Peterson Hotels Field at the Louisville Sports Complex. The Sycamores will open play on Saturday, Apr. 17 with a doubleheader slated to begin at 1 p.m. ET with game two set to start at approximately 3:30 p.m. The series finale will be played on Sunday, Apr. 18 with a start time of noon.

Peterson Hotels Field is closed to the public and only fans on student-athletes pass list will be admitted into the complex.
 
Series History
Bradley leads the all-time series 60-35 over Indiana State. The two squads last met on Apr. 28, 2019 resulting in an 10-2 Bradley victory.
 
Three Things to Know
  1. Powerful Peterson
    Bella Peterson is the MVC doubles leader with twelve on the year. She posted a 1.000 slugging percentage in series sweep of Drake last weekend. Peterson broke the career doubles record after hitting four in the Drake series and she is the new ISU record holder in the category with 46. Peterson is also tied for twelfth in the NCAA standings in doubles.
  2. Sweepin' Sycamores
    Indiana State has swept back-to-back conference series for the first time in program history. ISU won the series over Drake for the first time since 2006 and swept the Bulldogs for the first time since 1991.
  3. Swinging Siwek
    Over the past two conference series with Valpo and Drake, Lexie Siwek has led the Sycamore offense with a .522 batting average recording a team high twelve hits. The lefty slapper, drove in six runs posting a .565 slugging percentage, being a key in ISU's comeback win over Drake.
