OXFORD, Miss. – Indiana State swept North Dakota State to start the Ole Miss Classic on Fri. March 5, by scores of 10-5 and 1-0, respectively, at the Ole Miss Softball Complex.
KEY MOMENT – GAME ONE
The Sycamores took the lead in the top of the first with a three spot and never looked back. Indiana State scored ten runs in the contest propelling them to a 10-5 victory as
Abbey Kruzel and
Lexi Benko dominated the circle. Kruzel earned her first win of the season and Benko earned her second career save.

Annie Tokarek and a two-run home run from
Isabella Henning (fourth on the year), brought in three for the Trees.

Bella Peterson knocked in three runs with a triple, and Amanda Guercio brought in a run reaching on a fielder's choice.
Bottom 3rd – (ISU 7, NDSU 1)
The Bison knocked in their first run of the contest with a sacrifice fly.

North Dakota State added two runs on two singles.
Bottom 5th – (ISU 7, NDSU 5)
The Bison added two more runs with a two-run double.
Top 6th – (ISU 8, NDSU 5)
The Sycamores added an insurance run.

Alexis McCullough doubled to left center field leading to two Sycamore runs from a Leslie Sims single and an Amanda Guercio double.

Gabbi Schnaiter was dominate in the circle tossing the complete game shutout recording three strikeouts while only giving up three hits.
