MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Indiana State softball team claimed the series with a victory at Memphis on Sunday afternoon. The Sycamores (6-10) won by a score of 5-1 at Tigers Softball Complex.

KEY MOMENT
The Sycamores used the long ball to help push them past Memphis to earn the series victory. Bella Peterson and Amanda Guercio both connected on home runs in the contest. Gabbi Schnaiter got the start throwing five innings while only giving up three hits, Arielle Blankenship was in relief while only allowing one hit in two innings of work.

SCORING SUMMARY
Top 1st – (ISU 1, Memphis 0)
Indiana State loaded the bases and Lexie Siwek's single to the shortstop plated the first Sycamore run.

Top 2nd – (ISU 3, Memphis 0)
Kennedy Shade singled to second base, then Bella connected on her third homerun of the season with a 2-run bomb over the left center wall.
 
Top 5th – (ISU 5, Memphis 0)
The Sycamores added two insurance runs with an Amanda Guercio solo homerun to left center and an RBI single from Olivia Patton.
 
Bottom 5th – (ISU 5, Memphis 1)
The Tigers got on the board with an RBI single to right center.
