TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State softball team is set to hit the road for a three-game series at the University of Memphis. The Sycamores will play a double header on Saturday, March 13 starting at 2 p.m. ET with game two at 4 p.m. ET. The series finale is set for Sunday, March 14 at 1 p.m. ET.
The Tigers Softball Complex is closed to the public and only fans on student-athletes pass list will be admitted into the facility.
Series History
The all-time series with the Tigers is tied 2-2 and they met last season with the Trees escaping with a 13-5 win.
Three Things to Know
- Proficient Peterson
Senior Bella Peterson led the Sycamore offense last weekend at the Ole Miss Classic going 7-for-20 with a .350 batting average, to go with two triples, a double and a homerun. Peterson posted a team leading .750 slugging percentage while also drawing three walks. She is fifth in the conference with 18 hits on the year and fourth in runs batted in with 14.
- New Kid on the Block
True Freshman Isabella Henning started right where she left off adding to her home run total with a team leading four on the year and is tied for second overall in the conference.
- Guercio's Glove Work
Senior Amanda Guercio is leading the conference with 83 putouts and five assists with a perfect fielding percentage. Guercio has been great on the offensive side as well, recording seven hits last weekend with two doubles and three runs batted in.
