BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Indiana State suffered two setbacks in the opening day of the Hilltopper Classic Saturday, Feb. 27, dropping its first game to Bowling Green by a score of 8-2, before being shut out by host Western Kentucky by a score of 6-0 at the WKU Softball Complex.

Isabella Henning hit her third career homerun with a 2-run shot driving in Indiana State's only runs of the contest.

The Falcons got on the board first with a sacrifice fly to right field.
Bottom 4th – (BG 1, ISU 2)
Annie Tokarek broke the no-hitter for Bowling Green with a single up the middle and Isabella Henning's two-run bomb over the left field wall gave the Sycamores the lead.
Bottom 5th – (BG 2, ISU 2)
Bowling Green tied the game with a solo homerun.
Top 7th – (BG 8, ISU 2)
Bowling Green scored six runs on three hits and two errors.

Western Kentucky took advantage of an ISU adding to their lead.
Bottom 3rd – (ISU 0, WKU 5)
The Hilltoppers loaded the bases with a pair of singles and an ISU error setting up a two-run double and a sacrifice fly to extend their lead.
Bottom 4th – (ISU 0, WKU 6)
WKU gets a base runner with a single and advances around to third and then scores on a groundout.
