TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's basketball battled for three quarters, but the short-handed Sycamores fell late to Southern Illinois on Saturday afternoon, 76-52.

The Sycamores now fall to 4-12 (1-10 MVC) on the year while Southern Illinois improved their record to 8-10 (5-8 MVC).

Jamyra McChristine led the way for the Blue & White, recording a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, five of which were offensive, to go along with three steals.
Adrian Folks led all scorers with 14 points and chipped-in five rebounds while
Caitlin Anderson added 11 points and four rebounds. As a team, Indiana State shot 21-of-53 (39.6%) from the floor.

The Trees and the Salukis battled in the paint, with SIU holding a slim 32-30 margin in points in the paint, but Southern Illinois held a 34-27 advantage over ISU on the glass.

In the blocking category, the Trees ended with a 2-1 advantage with
Adrian Folks recording one and
Natalia Lalic earning her first career block as well.

Leading the way for Southern Illinois once again was Makenzie Silvey with 21 points and five rebounds. As a team, the Salukis converted on 30-of-54 (55.6%) shots from the floor and 10-of-19 (52.6%) from deep.

The Sycamores now have a quick turnaround as they will host in-state rival Evansville on Wednesday, Feb. 24 in the Hulman Center for senior night. The game will be streamed live on the Valley on ESPN.
