CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Indiana State outlasted Chattanooga in the nightcap of Friday's double-header by a score of 7-5.
The Sycamores hold a record of 1-1 heading into day two of the Chattanooga Challenge, while the Mocs' record now stands at 0-2.

Indiana State's win was highlighted by two solo homeruns in the top of the fifth to extend the Sycamores lead to six; one from
Mallory Marsicek and
Isabella Henning (first in her career).

Mallory Marsicek led off the inning with a single to left field, and advanced to second on
TeAnn Bringle's ground out.
Isabella Henning drove in ISU's first run with a single to second base.
Olivia Patton singled to third base and

Leslie Sims singled to third base dirivng in a run and
Bella Peterson drove in two with a double to left center.

Chattanooga made a late comeback, but fell ultimately fell short, scoring on a three-run homerun, a fielding error by ISU, and a hit-by-pitch.
