STRUGGLES IN DES MOINES
Sycamore women's basketball has a tall task in front of them this weekend when they travel to Des Moines, Iowa for a matchup with Drake. The Sycamores are 5-34 all-time in Des Moines and haven't won at Drake since Mar. 6, 2014 when they earned a 73-71 victory. The last Sycamore win versus the Bulldogs anywhere came on Feb. 14, 2016 in Terre Haute, 68-53.

THE ROAD BACK
Indiana State redshirt junior guard
LeAndra Echi made her first appearance since suffering a serious leg injury against Northern Kentucky on Dec. 16, 2019 on Friday evening when ISU hosted Illinois State. After missing 28-straight games, Echi played seven minutes and recorded two rebounds and a steal.
Â
TAKING CARE OF THE GLASS
Indiana State has been strong on the boards during the season, averaging 38.8 each game, fifth in the Valley. The Sycamores also find themselves at third in the conference in offensive rebounds per game, pulling down 12.4 partially thanks to
Jamyra McChristine's Valley-leading 3.3 offensive boards per game. ISU is also fifth in the MVC and 86th in the nation in rebounding margin, coming in at +3.9.
Â
ENDING THE DROUGHT
With a 63-48 victory over Loyola Chicago on Friday afternoon, Sycamore women's basketball earned their first Missouri Valley Conference-opening win since the 2015-16 season when they defeated Wichita State, 59-33. It was their conference-opening victory on the road since defeating Evansville, 75-67 on Jan. 27, 2011.
Â
MILESTONES ACHIEVED
Indiana State head coach
Vicki Hall earned her 20th victory at the helm of the Sycamore women's basketball program on Friday evening when ISU defeated Loyola, 63-48. Not only did Hall earn her 20th victory, she picked-up her first win over the Ramblers and her first Valley-opening win.
