TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Registration is now open for the 2020 John McNichols Memorial Golf Outing and Wine and Canvas, which will be held at Idle Creek Golf Course on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020. The event is sponsored by Pacesetter Sports and Riddell National Bank.
 
John McNichols was the longest tenured head coach in the history of Sycamore Athletics as he served as head track and field and cross country coach for 34 years prior to his untimely death in December of 2016 at the age of 66.
 
The event will take place on the afternoon of Aug. 15 at the Idle Creek Golf Course which can be found at 5353 Ryanne Maire Lane. Fans can have lunch with the Indiana State track & field and cross country coaching staff starting at noon ET at the golf course.
 
At 1 p.m. ET a shotgun start will be held for the golf outing at Idle Creek. A team of four and a hole sponsorship costs $500 while a team of four is $400. An individual golfer can play for $125 while a hole sponsorship costs $150.
 
During the golf outing a wine & canvas event will be held in the clubhouse. This event includes a fun afternoon of painting and wine tasting. Join talented artist and ISU Track and Field Program Director Angie Martin who will be instructing the class. Martin has taken the lead over many years at ISU Athletics Facilities showing a tremendous ability to paint various logos and murals and will share some of her tips with those attending. The event will begin at 1:30 pm ET and costs $75 which includes the painting class, lunch and wine.
 
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing guidelines will apply during the golf outing and wine & canvas.
 
All proceeds will go towards the John McNichols Memorial Fund, benefitting the Indiana State University track & field/cross country teams.
