BOCA RATON, Fla. - Becky Malchow led the way for the Sycamores by going 1-of-2 at the plate while drawing the only walk and stealing a base for the Blue & White. The Sycamores fell to Bethune-Cookman 2-0 in their second game of the FAU First Pitch Classic.

Indiana State out hit the Wildcats 6-4 and left seven runners on base. In the bottom of the fifth, the Trees got back-to-back hits and took advantage of an error, but were unable to cash in as they left the bases loaded.

The Sycamores were sat down in order the next two innings and came up short in the contest.

Abbey Kruzel was charged with the loss (0-1) in a complete game performance, allowing two runs, (one earned) on four hits with four walks and three strikeouts.
 
Victoria Guzman was credited with the win (1-1) as she gave up no runs on four hits and two strikeouts in 4.2 innings of play. Destiny Enriquez came in to earn the save by giving up no runs on two hits with one strikeout in 2.1 innings of work.
 
PLAYER OF THE GAME
Becky Gibbs earns this award again by hitting a double in back-to-back games. Gibbs was 1-for-3.
