NOTES
  • The Series: Indiana State and Valparaiso meet for the 13th time on Saturday with ISU holding a 12-8 advantage in the series. Valparaiso won the first matchup this season on January 10, 75-56, in Terre Haute.
  • A Win Would: A win on Saturday would give head coach Vicki Hall her 15th win as the leader of the Sycamores and end a two-game losing streak to the Crusaders. A victory would also give Hall a winning record against the Crusaders during her time at ISU.
  • Junior Leadership: Indiana State was led by juniors Marie Hunter, CeCe Mayo and Jamyra McChristine at Loyola on Thursday evening. Hunter led the Sycamore scoring effort, tallying 12 points and a team-high four steals. Mayo nearly recorded a double-double with 10 points and nine boards while McChristine added nine points and seven rebounds.
  • Hitting the Boards: ISU can boast themselves as one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Trees have pulled down 271 offensive boards in 22 games, giving them an average of 12.3 per-game which is the second-best number in the Valley. Jamyra McChristine leads the blue and white with 6.4 rebounds per game, seventh in the Valley.
  • It Starts with Defense: The Sycamores have managed to make opponents uncomfortable on the offensive end this season thanks to their committment on defense. ISU has 194 steals throughout the season, the third-most in the Valley, for an average of 8.82 steals per game, the third-best in the MVC.
