CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Indiana State came out on top over Bowling Green during the night cap by a score of 8-6.
The Sycamores started out hot in the cold Chattanooga weather to start off the game putting up a three spot in the top of the inning, highlighted by
Bella Peterson's two-run shot for her first homer of the 2020 season.
Two sycamores recorded multi hit games.
Leslie Sims (4-for-4) scored two runs and recorded two stolen bases in the contest.

Amanda Guercio was 1-for1 drawing two walks and recording two RBIs.
After Indiana State's three run first inning, they didn't score again until the top of the fifth, scoring two runs, adding some insurance. Bowling Green came out hot to start the bottom of the sixth scoring three runs in the frame. They weren't going anywhere, their bats stayed hot while they scored three more runs in the bottom of the seventh, but their comeback fell short.
Hannah Davies (0-1) was charged with the loss throwing 4.0 innings for Bowling Green, allowing three runs (all earned) on three hits with three walks and three strikeouts. Madison French threw 2.0 innings in relief giving up two runs on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Sydney Stepp threw 1.0 inning in relief allowing three runs on four hits with one walk.
Abbey Kruzel got the start for the Sycamores, allowing three runs (all earned) on six hits with two walka and three strikeouts as she pitched 5.2 innings in the no-decision.
