INDIANA STATE NOTES

NOTES
  • The Series: Indiana State and Drake meet for the 80th time on Friday with Drake holding a 56-23 advantage in the series. Drake swept the season series a year ago.
  • A Win Would: A win on Friday evening would snap the Sycamores' 12 game losing skid and six game losing streak to Drake. It would be ISU's first win over Drake since Feb. 14, 2016 and give Vicki Hall her first win over the Bulldogs.
  • Tall Task Ahead: The Sycamores hit the road this weekend to take-on Drake and Northern Iowa, a road trip that hasn't been kind to the Trees in the past. Indiana State holds a combined record of 21-53 at DU/UNI, including 5-33 at Drake and 16-20 at Northern Iowa. ISU hasn't won on the road at Drake since a 73-71 victory on Mar. 6, 2014 and at UNI since an 85-72 win on Mar. 8, 2014.
  • An Increasing Role: Sycamore junior CeCe Mayo was moved into the starting lineup for home games against Valparaiso and Loyola over the weekend, and she didn't disappoint. Mayo averaged 14 points and six rebounds between the two games, including a career-high 15 points and eight boards against Loyola on Sunday. In addition to moving into the starting role, the junior also averaged her season-best in minutes at 25.5 per game.
  • Hitting the Boards: ISU can boast themselves as one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Trees have pulled down 205 offensive boards in 16 games, giving them an average of 12.8 per-game which is the second-best number in the Valley. Jamyra McChristine leads the blue and white with 6.1 rebounds per game.
