Indiana State Welcomes Loyola for Sunday Afternoon Matchup

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Sycamores women's basketball team is back in action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome the visiting Loyola Ramblers to the Hulman Center. Loyola enters with a perfect 7-0 record on the road.

NOTES
  • The Series: Indiana State and Loyola meet for the 19th time on Sunday with ISU holding a 12-6 advantage in the series. Loyola swept the season series a year ago.
  • A Win Would: A win on Sunday afternoon would end Indiana State's 11 game losing streak, as well as give the Trees their first win over Loyola since February 25, 2018. A victory would give Vicki Hall her first win over the Ramblers since she became the Indiana State head coach.
  • Terre Haute's Team: Despite the tough start to the season, the fanbase around Indiana State women's basketball continues to be one of the best in the Missouri Valley Conference. ISU averages an attendance of 1,250 during their five home games, trailing only Missouri State, Drake and Northern Iowa in the conference.
  • Hitting the Boards: ISU can boast themselves as one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Trees have pulled down 197 offensive boards in 15 games, giving them an average of 13.1 per-game which is the second-best number in the Valley. Jamyra McChristine leads the blue and white with 5.8 rebounds per game. The team averaging the most offensive boards? Loyola with 13.5 each game.
  • A Balanced Attack: Indiana State continues to bring a balanced offensive attack to the table, with the most recent effort coming at home against Valparaiso. Four Sycamores tallied double-digit points, led by CeCe Mayo with 13. Junior Marie Hunter added 12, Caitlin Anderson added 11 and Sommer Pitzer contributed 10 points of her own. 11 of ISU's 15 games have seen at least three athletes score 10 points.
