Indiana State Director of Athletics
Sherard Clinkscales announced today (Aug. 21) that the sponsorship sales program has moved under the umbrella of the Sycamore Athletics Department after being jointly overseen the last three years by the Office of Advancement and the Department of Athletics. Leading the sponsorship sales charge for Sycamore Athletics is Greg Halls, who has spent the last year in the role of Development Officer for Athletics Sponsorships and has been at ISU for the last three years.
The Sycamore Sponsorship program manages venue signage sales, advertising and multi-media rights including live radio and television broadcasts for the athletic department. With Halls moving to work exclusively under Clinkscales and with the rest of the department's administration, the process of identifying potential sponsors, maintaining current relationships and handing fulfillment will now be a streamlined process.
"I am happy that the university has decided to move Sponsorship Sales under the full time direction of the athletic department," Clinkscales said. "Greg Halls has done a great job leading our sponsorship program and that growth will only continue as this transition is made. In just a short time, we have already noticed the increased efficiency of our sponsorship department and a greater level of communication in regards to sales progress and sponsorship fulfillment."
Halls is a 1994 graduate of Montana State and received his master's degree in athletic training in 1995 from Indiana State. He spent the first five years of his career in athletic training before enjoying a 17-year career in pharmaceutical sales. He then spent his first two years at ISU as the development officer for the Health & Human Services program.
He is joined in the Sycamore Athletics Sponsorship program by
Kara McKinney, who began work with the program back in late 2018.
