TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State will once again face a Big Ten Conference foe in a midweek doubleheader as the Sycamores will travel to Purdue for a twinbill Wednesday afternoon.
Â
First pitch for the opening game is set for 3 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live on BTN+.
Â
The double dip in West Lafayette starts a five-game road swing for the Trees culminating in a three-game Missouri Valley Conference series at Drake this weekend.

Series History
Last season Indiana State claimed a 3-2 win in the nightcap of the doubleheader to claim the program's first win over the Boilermakers since 1999. That pulled ISU within one in the all-time series against Purdue as the Boilermakers hold an 18-17 lead in the all-time series.

Three Things to Know
- An Improved Purdue Awaits the Trees
Last season Purdue went 16-40 overall and hit .240 overall as a team with a staff ERA of 5.08. Jenny Behan led the team with a .309 batting average but she was the only player over the .300 threshold. This season is a different story. The Boilermakers are 22-10, hit .294 as a team, have posted a staff ERA of 2.94 and Behan's .376 average is second on the team and one of six batting averages over .300.
- BAM Goes the Ball
Indiana State catcher Brooke Mann (affectionately referred to by her teammates as Bam) has broken into the all-time top 10 charts at Indiana State. She enters this week's games with 14 career dingers in Terre Haute, tied with Stacey Sparger (2000-03) for fourth all-time at Indiana State. Mann needs one more dinger to tie Bailey Wittenauer (2009-11) for third all-time at ISU.
- Big Innings Foretell Fortunes
Indiana State - and its opponents - have relied upon big innings this year to determine the Sycamores outcomes. So far this season, ISU has recorded five innings in five separate games where the team has scored four or more runs in that inning. In those games, Indiana State has a 5-0 record. But the reverse is true, as well. There have been seven games this season where the Sycamores have allowed four or more runs and ISU is 0-7 in those games.
